A Tough Winter
CBS has found business very tough throughout the long cold Winter, and has been thankful for long term projects at Maidenhead and a recently completely project in North London. Public spending has been the saviour for many construction and M&E companies in the last couple of years, and threats of a considerable fiscal cut by the existing and potential incoming governments is a major concern, as the commercial sector is showing little sign of recovery. A public cut couple with a stagnant commercial sector could well cause an unwanted double blip. Let's hope that the long awaited green shoots of Spring not only signal an end to the winter, but also a return to confidence across the construction industry.
